LIDO
LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) is an XML schema designed to publish and harvest descriptions of collection objects, maintained by the ICOM CIDOC committee. It is the exchange format of many heritage portals.
LIDO, CIDOC-CRM, CSV exports
Obscura Catalog exports to two cultural heritage standards, LIDO and CIDOC-CRM, and to CSV, which every spreadsheet can read.
LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) is an XML schema designed to publish and harvest descriptions of collection objects, maintained by the ICOM CIDOC committee. It is the exchange format of many heritage portals.
CIDOC-CRM (Conceptual Reference Model) is a conceptual model of cultural heritage information, standardized as ISO 21127 and maintained by the ICOM CIDOC committee. It describes objects, people, events, and their relationships.
CSV (comma-separated values, RFC 4180) opens in every spreadsheet: to review, sort, share, or reuse the catalogue elsewhere.
Every export covers all the works of the catalogue, drafts included, minus confidential works and events; internal notes never leave. Only the CSV, the full export and the package for Obscura Vault can include confidential records, with a justification and for one export.
LIDO 1.1 (XML): one record per work and per print — identification, creation with the author of the accepted attribution and their authority identifiers, exhibitions, acquisitions from the provenance, linked files —, following the official schema.
CIDOC-CRM (Turtle): a profile deliberately restricted to seven classes, E22 (the work and each print), E65 (the creation), E12 (the production of a print), E8 (acquisitions), E39 (actors), E52 (time-spans), E53 (places).
CSV: five UTF-8 files, linked by the catalogue number — works.csv, prints.csv, exhibitions.csv, publications.csv, provenance.csv —, with a comma (RFC 4180) or a semicolon as separator. works.csv re-imports as is. CSV is included without a license; LIDO and CIDOC-CRM require one.

Since version 0.14.0, Obscura Catalog prepares a package to entrust to Obscura Vault for archiving: a backup of the library, a full export without images and the list of the originals, identified by their SHA-256, in a checked folder or ZIP archive. Optionally, a copy of the originals, each checked against its SHA-256, for a Vault that cannot reach their disks.
The package is included without a license, and it is the only exchange between the two apps, which share no database and no settings. It is sensitive: its backup always contains the confidential records and the internal notes.
