Verifiable certificates with nothing to host, and input examples
One click registers your key in Obscura's directory: your certificates are declared valid online with no file to host. The guide gains a chapter of input examples and CSV files ready to import.
What’s new
- Key directory. Settings › Certificates › Key directory › Register the key in the directory… publishes your public key at an Obscura address that the verification page reads: your certificates are declared valid there without you hosting a key file. The request is signed by your key, which never leaves your Mac. Before sending, Catalog says what becomes public (the key, its fingerprint, the dates and the issuer’s name), and that Oorun does not verify the issuer’s identity.
- Publication address. If you had none, it becomes the directory’s and you can issue certificates right away; if you had one, Catalog asks which to keep. Certificates already issued do not change.
- Compromised key. The revocation also goes to the directory: the verification page then says the key was revoked, and no longer declares the certificates it signed valid. A lost key is revoked from the member area, Certificate keys page.
- Issuer name. When it changes, Update the name… offers to change it in the directory, never without your consent.
Documentation
- Input examples: a new chapter of the guide, screen by screen and field by field, with examples and the expected format (dates, amounts, dimensions, catalogue numbers, confidentiality).
- Sample CSV files, ready to import: works, completing existing works, exhibitions, publications, thesaurus. They are checked at every release by the application’s import.
